Econometric efficiency analysis: a policy-oriented review

Article Abstract:

The history of the econometric approach to efficiency analysis was significant in 1977 with the introduction of stochastic production frontiers. It has grown more sophisticated since then and has been used in most empirical applications. This approach is different from the mathematical programming approach which has a managerial decision-making orientation. The development of the econometric approach to efficiency analysis is presented. It is applied to public policy issues such as agricultural productivity and the measurement of the standard of living.

Weak efficiency in vector optimization using a closure of algebraic type under cone-convexlikeness

Article Abstract:

A new concept of algebraic type of closure in real linear spaces called vector closure is introduced. Its property is closer to topological closure than algebraic closure. New concepts of generalized convexlikeness are introduced to characterize the weakly efficient solutions in vector optimization.
