Economic order quantity models for ameliorating/deteriorating items under inflation and time discounting
Article Abstract:
The deteriorating and ameliorating phenomenon of stored items of an inventory are studied under the Discounted Cash Flow approach. This phenomenon is integrated into an inventory model in order to develop economic order quantity models under time-varying demand pattern. From the optimal solutions that are derived from these models, the impact of amelioration and deterioration phenomenon on the inventory replenishment polices are examined.

Providing support for decisions based on time series information under conditions of asymmetric loss
Article Abstract:
A method of analyzing and forecasting demand for deciding production levels is presented. The method uses time series information for assessing the asymmetric losses on shortages or on surpluses.
