Reducing simulation models for scheduling manufacturing facilities
Article Abstract:
The advantages of using simulation models for analyzing the effects of master production schedule in a manufacturing unit are discussed. The models help in quick decision-making apart from maximizing the use of resources and minimizing the risks associated in the overall industrial management system.

Markovian analysis for performance evaluation and scheduling in m machine stochastic flow-shop with buffers of any capacity
Article Abstract:
A mathematical model using Markovian analysis and Chapman-Kolmogorov equations is presented for estimating the completion time of the last job of any sequence of jobs. The study evaluates the performance and scheduling in m machine stochastic flow-shop of buffers with different capacity.

A contribution to the stochastic flow shop scheduling problem
Article Abstract:
The scheduling in a stochastic flow shop with exponentially distributed processing times are discussed. The results are obtained with the methods based on the combination of heuristics and metaheuristics with stochastic simulation model and Markovian model.
