Eni net profit jumps 21% amid production growth

Eni S.p.A. of Italy posted a soaring 21 percent increase in second quarter net profit to 2.3 billion Euros ($2.93 billion) from 1.9 billion Euros last year. Market share has increased by 25 percent to 20.74 billion Euros from 16.66 billion Euros. Revenues are due to strong performance in petroleum production and exploration.

Eni S.p.A. of Italy third quarter net profit increased by 3.5 percent to 2.42 billion Euros ($3.11 billion) from 2.34 billion Euros last year. Net sales grew by 12 percent to 20.37 billion Euros. Eni S.p.A. is the largest petroleum and natural gas company of Italy.
