Article Abstract:
The Regional Maritime Security Initiative (RMSI) proposed by the United States congress faced opposition as well support by the Southeast Asian countries. But this initiative that directs at the prevention of spread of mass destruction weapons is still in vague of acceptance by the three strait states of Southeast Asia.

Unsettling Asia for security's sake
Article Abstract:
U.S. president George W. Bush has returned to his office with thumping majority. In effect, Asian countries are likely face more scrutiny, sanctions and aggression in the name of war on terrorism. The Proliferation Security Initiative started by Bush and its signatory Asian countries are mentioned.
