Equivalence and implementation of alternative methods for determining returns to scale in data envelopment analysis
Article Abstract:
Several options exist for estimating returns to scale in data envelopment analysis. Of these, there is conceptual equivalency between the methods advanced by Banker, Charnes and Cooper in a 1984 paper and the two-stage procedures introduced by Fare, Grosskopf and Lovell in a 1985 paper. Furthermore, the 'strong' and 'weak disposal' assumptions may be eliminated when implementing the Charnes, Cooper and Rhodes model.

A simulation study of DEA and parametric frontier models in the presence of heteroscedasticity
Article Abstract:
The effects of heteroscedasticity on five types of estimators are studied. Simulated data in an experiment designed around a single output-single input production function is used to accomplish this.
