Ericsson CEO resigns amid slow-growth concerns
Article Abstract:
Sven Christer Nilsson, the president and chief executive officer of Telefon AB LM Ericsson, resigned from his posts on July 7, 1999. Mr. Nilsson had been president and CEO for less than 15 months. Lars Ramqvist, the chairman of Ericsson, will return to his former post as CEO. Kurt Hellstrom, the company's vice president for the Asia-Pacific region, will become the new president. Mr. Nilsson was unsuccessful in implementing rapid reforms, according to Mr. Ramqvist.

Tony Blair is to became President of the European Union on July 1st, 2005 taking on the crisis that is the European Union at this time. Recent rejections of the European Union's constitution, budget woes coupled with a slow economy and high unemployment has caused the Bloc to be a political and economic concern. Mr. Blair has a plan to adapt European Union economies to globalization.
