Ernst & Young's French corporate finance unit now employs 100 professionals offering a complete range of transaction support, advisory and transaction tax services. The strong growth of this unit has been boosted by the firm's substantial audit presence in France, with Ernst & Young auditing around 20% of the CAC40 Index. It is now increasing its focus on private equity transactions and schemes involving 'new economy' firms. France's economic performance indicates that there is significant potential for further merger and acquisition activity, the creation of value in 'new economy' businesses and private equity investments.
