Two conferences addressing the subject of risk, in Great Britain, The Scientific Alliance event and the spiked conference are reported. At the Scientific Alliance conference, the debate on a scientific justification for the reduction of CO2 emissions policy was made and the spiked conference highlighted the fact that irrational fears inhibit progress.

The postal service industry plans to spend about pounds sterling 500,000 in reinventing itself. Marginal-interest mail licenses were offered to companies, including Document Exchange (DX), and Dutch group TNG, however, in total, these postal carriers have taken just 0.3 per cent of the 'normal' letter market and 13 per cent of the parcel market.

The future's light: Nanogel is on the rise
Article Abstract:
Nanogel products give architects a new tool for letting daylight in while lowering U-values. Satterwhite states that Nanogel 'daylighting technologies' available to 'a wide palette', everything from expensive, high-spec products to cheaper, lower-spec ones.
