Telecommunications companies in Europe are experiencing a wave of acquisitions. Telefonica SA of Spain; TeliaSonera AB of Sweden; Telecom Italia S.p.A. of Italy and Vodafone Group PLC of England have deals or are completing international deals. The telecommunications sector of the European Union grows $71.2 billion in revenue per year.
