Funds in Europe have started purchasing shares in the U.S. again. European funds had been selling off their U.S. share when the 2003 year began. European funds bought $8.1 billion in American stocks in June 2003.

Lehman 2nd-period net soars 48%

Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. posted a rise of 48% in its net income for the fiscal second quarter ending May 31, 2003. The company posted $437 million (373.8 million euros) in net income for the period.
