Evaluation of unidirectional lateral transshipments and substitutions in inventory systems
Article Abstract:
A simple technique for approximate evaluation of policies with unidirectional lateral transshipments, i.e., transshipments that are only allowed to go in one direction are provided. This method gives a good picture of how the considered lateral transshipments or substitutions affect the inventory system.
