FIIs IN TALKS WITH KSHEMA FOR EQUITY

Multinational financial institutions have envisaged interest in investing in the equity of Kshema Technologies of Bangalore, a software company. Kshema Technologies is likely to report an equity inflow of Rs5 crore to Rs7 crore. It provides offshore software development, re-engineering and support to its customers in the US and Europe. It also concentrates on Converging Communications, Healthcare and Information Technology. Kshema Technologies plans to concentrate on banking, finance and Euro conversion in the future. (ag)(m)

UTI TO DOWNSIZE EQUITY HOLDINGS UNDER US-64
Article Abstract:
The Unit Trust of India (UTI) will reduce the equity holdings under its flagship US-64 scheme from 64 percent to 60 percent. The 4 percent of the Rs22,000 crore fund's equity holdings will be reduced in the next few weeks. UTI plans to increase its investible funds to Rs72,000 crore by June 1999 from Rs60,000 crore. UTI has decided not to declare its net asset value (NAV). (gs)
