FRANCE: PRODUCTS' PRICES ON THE INTERNET
Article Abstract:
According to experts in the Eurostaf survey firm, Internet sales sites should not cut their prices in order to have a successful commercial strategy on the Internet. The first think which must be featured is service rather than price and the second thing is that the prices must be consistent with the other distribution channels and must integrate all of the cost elements for sales on the Internet (logistics, call centre, a special hot line, outside service providers, etc). Nevertheless, the Internet may also be used a sales tool for products on promotion.

France: Companies and Internet
Article Abstract:
According to a survey of 151 French companies carried out by Taylor Nelson Sofres, 86% of the big French companies have a Web site, 70% have an Internet, and only 10% have an extranet or an on-line sales site. The French managers say that Internet makes it possible to act in real time, to have the information circulated better, and to reduce costs. Concerning on-line sales, only 21% of the companies plan to make 1% to 5% of their turnover on the Internet within two years.
