FRANCE: STAMPTRONIC ACQUIRED BY AUSTRIAN ADCON
Article Abstract:
The French Nice-based company Stamptronic SA, a producer of equipment for short-distance data transmission by radio, has been acquired by the Austrian Klosterneuburg-based company Adcon Telemetry in a deal backdated to the beginning of October 1999. In 1999 Stamptronic is expected to generate a turnover of EUR 2mn. Its clients include Dassault, Schlumberger and Siemens. Export share is less than 10%, but Adcon will use its international sales network for Stamptronic products, which were developed for the European and US markets. The French company is expected to show a small loss in 1999, but Adcon is confident of being able to turn the result into the black in future.
