Article Abstract:
Bosch Diesel (Jihlava, Czech Republic), engineering firm, plans investments of 130 mil DEM in the development of its production in 2001 compared to 160 mil DEM in 2000. Most of the investments is intended for the construction of a new hall for the production of a new high-pressure injection pump named CP 3. The new hall with an area of 30,000 sq mt should be commissioned in November 2000. The firm's investments in the modernisation of machine equipment were 1.48 bil Kc in 1999. The company built a new tool production plant, which has 100 employees. About 50% of the plant's production are intended for the affiliated companies of the concern Bosch. The firm is focused mainly on the production of injection equipment for Diesel engines. A small part of the firm's production is represented by packing machines for the food industry. The number of the company's employees should be 1,600 in 2000 and over 2,000 in 2001. The firm has been wholly owned by Robert Bosch (Germany) since 1996.

Bosch (Germany), engineering and electrical concern, is developing its activities in the Czech Republic. The company plans to invest 170 mil DEM in the development of production at its Czech companies in 2000 compared to more than 100 mil Kc in 1999. Bosch has seven firms in the country, owning them fully or holding meaningful stakes. The firms generated a turnover of 625 mil DEM in 1999.
