Fox's Pepsi challenge
Article Abstract:
Vicente Fox is a candidate in Mexican presidential elections for the National Action Party (PAN) and is also supported by the Green party. He argues that economic growth of 7% can be achieved through exports and foreign investment. He sees the solution to farmers' problems in terms of switching to more profitable activities, including outside the agricultural sector. He is governor of the state of Guanajuato, which has seen economic growth levels that are higher than those of Mexico as a whole.
