France asks Aerospatiale to sell stakes, list shares
Article Abstract:
Aerospatiale SA Chairman Yves Michot was requested by the government of France to intend to sell interests in the firm and have its shares listed on the stock market. A statement presented by the office of Lionel Jospin, the Prime Minister of France, reasoned that such a move requested to Aerospatiale is required to ease the formation of partnerships and to develop huge industrial programs in the future. Aerospatiale is a partner in Airbus Industrie, along with companies that include British Aerospace PLC, Construcciones Aeronauticas SA and Daimler-Benz Aerospace GmbH.
