France still trapped
Article Abstract:
The election of Lionel Jospin has signaled another economic shift for France. Jospin takes office after pledging, among other things, to establish 700,000 jobs and reduce the work week. If such promises were kept, it is unlikely that France could participate in the single European currency system.
