Fuzzy part coding for Group Technology
Article Abstract:
A three-step method is illustrated in the formulation of a fuzzy coding system for Group Technology operations. The preparatory step involves characterizing the important properties of the parts population and then specifying corresponding linguistic values. The generation of fuzzy coding scales is made in the analysis step whereas assigning code values to every characteristic of the different parts comprise the coding step. The resulting codes are representative of the actual number of relevant parts and the correlation between the expected values and assigned values.

Meaningful and meaningless solutions for cooperative n-person games
Article Abstract:
Research into the robustness of conclusions taken from the cooperative game model in the presence of invariance transformation of input data is presented. This was found that statements about the most common solution for n-person games are meaningful in the case of ratio scale games but are usually meaningless in the case of interval scale games.
