G-8 leaders fail to revive trade talks

The Group of Eight industralized nations were unsuccessful in reviving trade negotiations that would have lowered subsidies for the agricultural sector. The G-8 leaders, convening at their yearly summit in Evian, France, did call for greater optimism among companies and consumers about the world economy.
