GLOBAL TELE TIES UP WITH GEIS
Article Abstract:
Global Tele-Systems Ltd (GTL) of Mumbai has tied-up with the General Electric Information Services (GEIS) division of General Electric of the US. The agreement is for an initial period of three years and GTL has been assured a minimum revenue of $3 million. GTL will develop web-enabled software solutions which can be integrated with the existing products of GEIS. GTL has also given GEIS the world-wide marketing rights to ITCN, a software developed by it for the aviation industry. (khr)

Plastro Irrigation Systems (India) Ltd (PIS), the 50:50 joint venture of Finolex group and Plastro of Israel, is a supplier of drip irrigation systems. PIS will now be called Finolex Plastro Plasson Ltd. The change of name is necessitated since Israel-based Plasson bought 25 percent of Plastro's stake in the joint venture for Rs1.25 crore. The joint venture with three partners will now introduce products in water management and filtration systems. (um)
