Godfrey Phillips India Ltd's sports goods division has launched Four Square cricket gear outlets in Hyderabad. The outlets will offer a range of international quality cricketing gear. The outlets have been set up at Sachdeva Sports Co in Secunderabad and S A Sports in Hyderabad. The outlets will sell original English willow bats of various grades, cricket balls, gloves, leg guards, thigh, abdominal and elbow guards, pads, stumps and other accessories. (rk)(vr)

NEW RBI GUIDELINES FOR EXPORT CREDIT
Article Abstract:
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced operational guidelines for giving subsidised export credit. RBI has said that it will finalise and forward the scheme to banks by July 10, 1998. It says that incremental exports would get pre-shipment credit at a subsidised rate of 6.5 percent for a maximum period of 90 days. The US dollar value of shipments made during the year would be converted at an exchange rate of Rs40 per dollar. (khr)

ADIDAS PLANNING TO OUTSOURCE, EXPORT PRODUCTS MADE IN INDIA

Adidas is thinking of marketing its ready-made goods made in India in overseas countries. Adidas India Trading Pvt Ltd, a 100 percent subsidiary of Adidas AG of Germany, is a joint venture with Magnum International Trading Company Ltd. Adidas does not plan to restrict its Indian made brands to any particular country or markets. It says that the Indian garments market was growing by about 20 percent per annum. (khr)
