Apparel company, Freelook has launched a new range of corporate and clubwear trousers called Tummy Tuckers designed to fit every size and silhoutte. These are priced between Rs775 and Rs1,200 and are sold in three different fits - regular, straight and pleatless. These are made of chinos and wrinkle- free twills. The range also includes T-shirts, denimwear, sweatshirts and jackets priced between Rs575 and Rs1,095. (gsh) pping the parts into place. These are made of tough resinite making them scratch-proof and have in-built facilities like keyboard drawer and mouse support. The SanpEase range of tables are currently available in Calcutta, Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi. (gsh)

ARVIND MILLS TO DRESS UP YOUTH SEGMENT, LAUNCHING LEE YOUTH

Arvind Mills, the franchisee for the Lee brand, plans to introduce a new range of casual wear under the Lee Youth brand in 2 months. It also plans to launch a range of garments for children under Ruggers Kids brand in August 1998. The Lee brand will be marketed either through exclusive Lee stores or exclusive Lee Youth outlets. The Lee brand posted a turnover of Rs45 crore in 1997-98. The garments division of Arvind Mills recorded sales turnover of Rs200 crore in 1997-98. It has projected sales turnover of Rs500 crore by 2001 AD. (khr)

ARVIND MILLS WEARS 20% LOWER NET PROFIT

Arvind Mills Ltd has posted a decline in net profit by 20 percent to Rs101.04 crore for the year ended March 31, 1998 (Rs127.4 crore in 1996-97). Its turnover had increased by 8 percent to Rs928.32 crore (Rs863.15 crore). Its operating profit has decreased to Rs159.4 crore (Rs186.8 crore). Its earnings per share was Rs10.05 (Rs12.67). The company has declared a dividend of 30 percent for 1997-98 (45 percent). (rk)
