GUJARAT GAS MAY BE CLOSE TO SELLING BOTTLING CAPACITY
Article Abstract:
Gujarat Gas Company, a subsidiary of British Gas, is likely to sell its two liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) bottling units at Sanand and Rajkot in Gujarat. Sources say that the two units may be sold to Reliance Industries, or split between two buyers, at a price in the range of Rs45-60 crore. The two units have an installed capacity of 12,000 tonnes each. The company has decided to exit the LPG business as it was able to sell only 3,800 tonnes of the product in 1997-98. (khr)
