Getting hostile
Article Abstract:
Argus capital International and Croesus Central European Advisors have both bid for Cofinec, a packaging company which has seen a drop in its stock price. Meanwhile, chemicals company, TVK, has replaced its management following pressure from stockholders, led by two investment funds. Stocks in trade
Article Abstract:
Markets for stocks and bonds once symbolised instability and greed associated with capitalism, according to critics from countries with communist regimes, but this has changed. Most countries have set up their own stock exchanges and this includes China, as well as countries in Eastern Europe. Capital markets can be separated into two types, bond markets which deal in public and private sector debt, and equity markets, which involve stocks in companies.
