North Korea has refused to allow inspection of its nuclear sites, which indicates it may have violated its Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) promise and built an atomic bomb. The UN Security Council must enforce the NPT or other nations will build their own bombs.

The UN Security Council has considered the possibility of ending the Bosnian civil war with military intervention. This threat, however, accompanied by US relief aid to the Bosnians, has done little to derail the constant attacks by Serb forces on Muslims.
