Good prognosis for Romania
Article Abstract:
Romania's privatization and restructuring efforts ended 1998 on a positive note. Deals for Romanian Bank for Development and Romtelecom were completed, and the privatizations of Automobile Dacia and Banc Post were in negotiation. Since his April 1998 ascendency, Prime Minister Radu Vasile has placed high priority on privatization. An overview of the privatization climate in Romania is presented.
