Greenside destroyed as listing system laid bare
Article Abstract:
Owners of Connell, Ward and Lucas' Greenside, have illegally demolished the grade II-listed building, following a planning test case that threatens the entire listing system. It would be economically viable to renovate greenside and provide a stunning family house, but in this location the value of the cleared plot is higher than that of the building and it was believed that this is the primary reason why the owner has demolished it.
