Growing pains

Nucor is a steel company that has grown rapidly. The company has invested in minimills and decentralized planst away from major urban areas, and non-unionized. The management of the company has changed following a boardroom coup which removed Ken Iverson, leader of Nucor for some 30 years, and John Correnti, whom Iverson had selected as its successor. New boss, David Aycock, plans to expand aborad, and to invest in a blast furnace. This involves a major shift in the company's strategy.
