H-P's net climbs 30% on gains across its units

Hewlett-Packard Co. of the United States posted soaring first quarter profits up 30 percent to $1.23 billion from $943 million last year. Revenue for the computer giant increased by approximately six percent to $22.66 billion from $21.45 billion last year, outperforming financial projections.
