HKSE v2.0
Article Abstract:
The Hong Kong Stock Exchange is to undergo reforms, and the authorities are using the Asian financial crisis as an opportunity to bring in changes. Hong Kong already has relatively open markets, but the government sees change as necessary in order to ensure that Hong Kong continues to be a strong financial center. The futures and stock exchange and the clearing house are to merge. Merging trading systems may be difficult but it will permit Hong Kong to keep abreast of changes in technology.
