HUGE DEMAND POTENTIAL IN RURAL MARKET
Article Abstract:
To tap the growing potential of the oral care market in rural India, where the penetration level is just 27 percent, market leaders like Colgate, Hindustan Lever Ltd (HLL) and Dabur are making all efforts for dominance. Colgate, whose monopoly in urban India is being threatened by HLL, has the chance to dominate the rural market with its principal brand, Colgate Dental Cream, as it is cheaper than HLL's Close-Up. The rural market is expected to boost Colgate's volumes and improve its overall revenue growth. (gsh)
