Article Abstract:
Mini-binocular manufacturer R.V.I. II was established in 1987 by Bill Bresnahan. The idea for the product came from Bresnahan's children who suggested it as a promotional item. Bresnahan decided the product would be an inexpensive, laminated cardboard, five-power mini-binocular which can be folded and placed in a shirt pocket. Its first big contract was supply binoculars to the 1988 Seoul Olympics. About 75% of its revenues are from overseas sales.
