Procter & Gamble emerged in 1996 as the most vital hair-washing products manufacturer in Spain with its market share in terms of value of 26.3% during the year. Elida Faberge, on the other hand, reported the highest growth levels in the Spanish market for hair-care products in 1996, with its over-2.4 percentage-point gain during the year. Elida Faberge's introduction in March 1995 of its new Organics shampoo line was cited as the reason behind the firm's excellent market growth.
