RTL Group lifts stake in Antena 3 of Spain

RTL Group PLC increased its share of Spanish channel Antena 3 Television S.A. and launched a new strategic partnership with Telefonica Media S.A., principal owner of Antena 3, that might involve media ventures throughout Europe and in Latin America. RTL acquired a 6.23% stake in Antena 3 from Bank of New York, paying Euro155.7 million.

BSCH receives boost in Banespa acquisition

Banco Santander Central Hispano SA's acquisition of Banco do Estado de Sao Paulo (Banespa) received fresh assistance from Royal Bank of Scotland PLC, which invested 500 million pounds (834.7 million euros) to finance the deal.
