Hamas, the avengeful
Article Abstract:
The death of a Hamas leader, Muhyiaddin Sharif, has led to friction between Hamas and the Palestinian Authority. Israel was initially accused of the killing by the Palestinian Authority which then changed its mind and suggested an internal power struggle. Israeli prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, has denied that Israel caused Sharif's death, and has stated that Israel will hold the Palestinian Authority responsible if a terrorist attack is carried out as a result of the death of Sharif.

In the wake of Wye
Article Abstract:
The Israeli public supports an interim agreement between the prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, and Yasser Arafat, Palestinian leader. The Israeli far right opposes the deal, and the Labor party supports it but is tempted to topple the government by allying with coalition hardliners. The US will decide on how terrorist threats should be classified through the involvement of the CIA. There is still the possibility that the political will of the signatories could be lost.
