Deficit starts to fall while China market surges
Article Abstract:
Germany's trade deficit with Asian countries decreased for 1992 while its export market in the major Asian nations is showing signs of rapid growth. Most of the change in the trade deficit can be attributed to the end of the post-unification boom in Germany, resulting in fewer Asian cars and electronic goods being imported. China and Vietnam offer some of the best export possibilities for Germany, and both countries are eager for direct German investment.
