Hola! says bonjour
Article Abstract:
Hola!, the leading women's weekly periodical in Spain, is scheduled to venture into France in September 1998, although French media analysts have questioned the strategy behind the launching due to the saturated French market. Mediapolis press director Aline Moreau noted that the market is quite competitive yet less concerned about intrigues. The periodical's name means ''Hello!'' in English. In addition, EMAP of the UK has stopped publishing its fledgling weekly TV periodical Telemax. Observers believe that this is because of a dull launch effort by EMAP.

Article Abstract:
Manchette Sports Vice-Chairman Louis Gillet revealed that Amaury's L'Equipe newspaper, the leading daily in France, has problems with international advertisers particularly those from North America and northern Europe. Manchette Sports is the sales arm of Amaury. Gillet wants the advertisers to realize that L'Equipe, unlike Le Monde and Figaro, is a daily sports newspaper. He believes that international names typically linked to sports events such as Coca-Cola would find L'Equipe a more effective advertising medium than television during the World Cup.
