Hot flushes
Article Abstract:
There has been a debate on the safety of beef treated with hormones, used in the US to make some 90% of beef cattle accumulate meat faster. Some studies have shown that the hormones are not a problem if the farmer uses them correctly, though some farmers have been found implanting the hormones in cattle's necks, which leads to very high hormone levels. Hormones can affect humans, and there is concern that one effect of hormone usage is an increase in cancer linked to the usage of estradiol-17-beta, one of the hormones used with cattle.
