Sales of kitchen housewares in the UK fell by 4% in current value and by 16% in constant terms in the period 1990-1994. The market has been negatively affected by low consumer confidence. The tableware sector is the largest part of the market, representing 30% of value sales in 1994. Market leader in 1994 was Addis, at 6%. The market is expected to rise by 17% in value in constant terms in the period 1994-1999.
