How to provide good value
Article Abstract:
There is considerable potential for the UK's architects to offer value management services, according to John Kelly of Heriot-Watt University and Steven Male, professor of civil engineering at the University of Leeds. Value management is undertaken as workshop exercises, with the main resource being the staff of the organizations. These workshops can play a very useful role in addressing conflict within projects and in ensuring that the client's priorities and aims are made clear. The most significant person in a value management workshop is the facilitator, who may be an outsider.
