Night cooling a 1950s office
Article Abstract:
Night cooling installed in a 4-story 1957 office block in Weston-superMare, Regent House enhances workplaces with natural ventilation. Ventilation is controlled by the office workers, who can open ventilators in the daytime, who need to think ahead and not leave it until the building gets overheated. Automated closure would have helped use the cooling system to its best advantage, though in this case cleaning staff set the system for the night.
