Sihanouk's threat
Article Abstract:
Peace efforts by the United Nation for Cambodia suffered another setbackwith the decision of non-cooperation with either the UN Transitional Authority in Cambodia or the Phnom Penh government by Prince Norodom Sihanouk. The reasoncited for his withdrawal is the killing of nine members of his son's party, Funcinpec. This development has marred the chances of holding the UN-sponsored elections planned for May and has provided new impetus for political speculations.
