TWO MICROLAND COs PLAN TO FLOAT IPOs
Article Abstract:
Microland Ltd and Planetasia.com Ltd, arms of the Microland group of Bangalore, plan to make initial public offers (IPOs) in 1999- 2000. Microland Ltd and Planetasia.com Ltd propose to privately place their shares to net $7 million. Microland Ltd will get $4-5 million and Planetasia.com Ltd $2 million. The Microland group plans to expand the business of both these companies. Microland Ltd has an equity of Rs4 crore, in which Kar holds 40 percent stake, financial institutions 40 percent and the employees and associates 20 percent. Planetasia.com Ltd has an equity of Rs3.10 crore with Microland Ltd and ICICI Venture Funds holding a stake of 47.5 percent each. Kar and the employees hold the rest. (rk) (kvr)

HCL Infosys Ltd of Mumbai has launched a range of new Net services called www.ow to provide solutions for Internet Service Providers, cyber cafes, information kiosks, cable operators for net-on-TV and e-commerce.
