Infosys Technologies Ltd (ITL) recorded a 103 percent rise in its total income at Rs218.86 crore in the half year ended September 30, 1998 (Rs107.69 crore in the same period of 1997). Its net profit increased by 126 percent to Rs52.07 crore (Rs23.04 crore). Its gross profit was Rs73.66 crore (Rs23.04 crore). Its annualised earning per share was Rs65.01 (Rs28.76). It has declared an interim dividend of 25 percent for 1998-99. In the second quarter of 1998-99, it posted an income of Rs120.44 crore. Its net profit was Rs28.40 crore. Its gross profit was Rs42.06 crore. (rk)
