INTELLIGROUP TO OFFER ERP FOR DOMESTIC Cos
Article Abstract:
Intelligroup Asia Pvt Ltd (IAPL) of Intelligroup Inc of the US plans to target Indian corporate houses to offer its enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution package. IAPL has already bagged orders from reputed firms including Indian Rayon Industries Ltd (IRIL) and SAP India. It has completed the first phase of implementation of ERP at IRIL at a cost of Rs2 crore. The total cost of the contract at IRIL will be about Rs50 crore. IAPL is negotiating with RBI, SBI and other state and central government organisations for selling ERP software package. (gs)

Sybase Inc plans to strengthen its hold on enterprise data management and enterprise application development to provide solutions in data warehousing and Web/mobile/embedded computing. Now it has the Made in India programme and the Sybase Technology Education programme. WORLD SLUMP FORCES RIL TO OFFER DISCOUNTS ON PTA
Article Abstract:
Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has started giving discounts to its users for purified terephthalic acid (PTA) to counter competition from international imports and price fluctuations. The international price of PTA has decreased to $330 per tonne against $800 per tonne in February 1998. RIL produces about one million tonnes of PTA per annum and captively consumes about 4.4 lakh tonnes. (khr)
