'I'm quitting while ahead' says Stevens
Article Abstract:
Jim Stevens has moved from the structured finance operations of the Royal Bank of Scotland to become one of four directors working for Royal Bank of Scotland Mezzanine Managing Director Leith Robertson. The new team will deal with mezzanine in a very broad way, with around half the deals likely to involve traditional mezzanine and the rest hybrid products. Royal Bank of Scotland Mezzanine will complement the bank's acquisition finance work and also work independently on deals where the bank is not otherwise involved.

Deutsche Bank Vice Chmn, global corporate financial institutions, Bill Harrison is to leave Deutsche Bank after the takeover of Bankers Trust has been completed. Deutsche Bank is also to lose Norbert Reis, head of investment banking for northern Europe, and head of global telecommunications mergers and acquisitions Frank Pont. There is still uncertainty about the future of head of UK mergers and acquisitions and co-head of global mergers and acquisitions Jeremy Lucas.

Life goes on as Flemings says goodbye to its agent of change

The departure of Bill Harrison as head of investment banking at Flemings after just two years in the position has shocked many of his City colleagues. However, the company has already instigated a restructuring plan, with the appointment of Roddie Fleming and Bernard Taylor to manage corporate finance business. Bill Harrison is to take over as chief executive of BZW in autumn 1996.
