United States Defense Intelligence Agency operative "David" passes for an Iraqi, gathering information and on one occasion spotted an interpreter who had lied about where he was from. Because of his vital information troop operations have been on target but he and his unit are being pulled back to Yemen by Head Quarters in Baghadad and the United States Embassy. "He is like Lawrence of Arabia" says Najem Abdullah, an Iraqi politician.

Iraq vote is confirmed as U.S. deaths reach 2,000

Iraq's constitutional referendum brought out 63 percent (or approximately 10 million people) of the vote, with 78.6 perenct in favor and 21.4 percent against. As United States military deaths in Iraq reached 2,000 raising questions about the costs of continuing the occupation in Iraq.
