Article Abstract:
Labor migration to Great Plains states has helped revive many localities, and migrants are often Latinos, prepared to take on low-paid and dangerous work in areas of low unemployment. The US immigration service wants to catch illegal labor migrants through checking documents rather than carrying out raids. Business leaders have become concerned about loss of labor, and politicians are worried about disruption to local economies from this anti-labor migration initiative. Latino families are also worse hit than are single men who can easily move, and they need more help in ensuring that their papers are in order.

Article Abstract:
Both Greece and Turkey have been hot by earhtquakes, and this has improved relations between the two countries. Greek foreign minister, George Papandreou, has pressed for an improvement in links with Turkey, and Greece has partly ended a veto against aid from the European Union for Turkey. There are still disagreements between the two countries over Cyprus. Rescue workers from both countries cooperated after the earthquakes. There is a need for earthquake relief to be coordinated and this has helped encourage improved relations between the two countries.
